Are you an Active or Passive Christian?

I am guilty of being a passive Christian for a long time. Merriam-Webster defines Active an adjective as characterized by action rather than by contemplation or speculation.  Passive also an adjective is defined as 1. lacking in energy or will. 2. tending not to take an active or dominant part.  3. existing or occurring without being active, open, or direct.

FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD

James 2:14 - What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works. Can faith save him? 15 - If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 - and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 - Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works is dead. 24 - You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 26 - For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

We as Christians have to do more than just go to church on Sunday and then go home. We have to be active workers in the Church. Participating in community service projects is a great way to put the bible and your faith to work. Also to give time to a cause like feeding the homeless, visiting the sick and shut-in or elderly, or participating in a jail ministry. Yes I'm guilty of being passive so I must put these words into action.

Hello, My name is Brother Derrick W. Jackson and I am ecstatic and proud to show you my social media church / Online Church.  I am a new teacher of the word(Please note I have not been ordained nor do I have a minister's license but I have answered the call to spread the word) I am not new to the church and worshipping Jesus Christ.  I'm his human clay that he is molding every day, in other words I'm not perfect and have made a lot of mistakes that I do not want others to repeat. As the fires burn in California we pray for the victims.  Life shows us all the time that we are not always in control and bad things happen to good people.  A lot of times we scream out, "WHY GOD!!!!"  Several months ago I broke down on Labernum Avenue in Richmond, Virginia screaming, "He plays games with peoples lives!!"  God is not like man and remember he loves you unconditionally. Listen to the words Kirk Franklin speaks in this song carefully. I believe we have to repent on a regular basis even if we are saved. Today's Bible Study was God Demands Repentance. This is so true. Pastor Sherman who taught the lesson said that if we were perfect we would not need good. And I know he means we need God / Jesus every day of our lives. I have been slow to act. I started this blog back in 2018 and I wish I would have worked hard on it every day since then. I ask Jesus to forgive me for not putting Him first and not doing what I was called to do, which is to create an online site where people can come together as Christians and uplift Christ.
