You can learn a lot from different people. And though I am saved Yes I can learn from a Rap Star. Jesus when he walked the earth kept company with people that the scribes and pharisees thought to be undignified. But Jesus said he did not come to save the righteous man but the sinner. I don't know Childish Gambino's beliefs but who says he is not a Christian who can witness to the masses.

Sheila E. wrote a very inspiring memoir that talked of a life changing event during her youth. She held steadfast to her dream of being a musician. 

This action pack adventure starring Idris Elba as Ben and Kate Winslet as Alex is the type of movie that you can watch again and again. It inspired me in my own dream to be a writer and artist.

To be Saved or Born Again, you have to confess that Jesus is the Christ and that he died for our sins and that he is coming back. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, though shalt be Saved. There's no magic wand that will wipe away all your problems and sin. You have to work everyday to be a good Christian. I was so much like others who believed that you can just get saved at home and not fellowship with other Christians. Fellowship is very important because it will help you grow as a good Christian. Take a common sense approach to being a good Christian. Most people know right from wrong. If you stick to to doing what is right, you will find that you are well on your way to being "Saved" and being a good Christian. Please note that you can accept Jesus into your life anywhere to repent and be born again. Home, church, the store, in your car, or even jail.

God is Perfect. He does not make mistakes.  You have to pray every day. Pray without ceasing.  Praying is like paying car insurance.  You pay a monthly fee and if you get into an accident the insurance company will pay for repairs after you pay the deductible. Again God is a jealous God and the more time you spend on him. The more he will spend on you.   Psalm 145:17-21. (17) The Lord is righteous in all his works. (18) The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. (19) He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them. (20) The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. (21) My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

The holiday season brings anxiety to some people. They may not have loved ones. I define depression as being sad / down for a prolonged amount of time. Some may take medication for it, but how can a pill alter your state of mind? When I was depressed for a long time I would sleep the entire day almost.  I did not have that "Zest" for life.  I was upset about my legal situation and I did not have a regular job. These contributed to my depression. Also I was upset that i left a good job in Washington DC. You have to have someone or something to live for. Me starting my own company is finally what got me out of my state of depression.  When I was depressed a Christian friend told me to read the book of Psalms. Psalm 143: 7-8 Answer me quickly, Lord; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me, or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you.  Show me the way I should go,

A lot of times when you don't have something you want or took for granted, you may get depressed.  During those times you have to remember to thank God for the little things. Most important you are alive to see another day. God gives what we need and not always what we want. I Thessalonians 5:18 - Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. I Chronicles 16:34 - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. On this Thanksgiving 2018, I am most thankful for being free. I had gotten into trouble and it worked out for the best. Although I have some income I was homeless. Now I'm renting a room in a beautiful townhouse in Richmond, Virginia.  God is always right on time. I finally want to thank the Henrico County Jail food staff workers and inmates who prepared breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  They were  Heaven in hell so to speak.

Jesus, Our Lord and Savior did not take the easy road. He, Son of God, lived the humble life of Carpenter and Prophet.  When he fasted in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights the devil tempted him. Another way that he got "uncomfortable" for us was that he died on the cross for us.  Jesus foretold he would be taken and sacrificed for our sins but he asked the lord to pass this cup at Gethsemane. Hello, My name is Brother Derrick W. Jackson and I am ecstatic and proud to show you my social media church / Online Church.  I am a new teacher of the word(Please note I have not been ordained nor do I have a minister's license but I have answered the call to spread the word) I am not new to the church and worshipping Jesus Christ.  I'm his human clay that he is molding every day, in other words I'm not perfect and have made a lot of mistakes that I do not want others to repeat. As the fires burn in California we pray for the victims.  Life shows us all the time that we are not always in control and bad things happen to good people.  A lot of times we scream out, "WHY GOD!!!!"  Several months ago I broke down on Labernum Avenue in Richmond, Virginia screaming, "He plays games with peoples lives!!"  God is not like man and remember he loves you unconditionally. And life does not turn out as we expect it but we know  "his will be done".
