Would You Get Uncomfortable for Jesus?
Jesus, Our Lord and Savior did not take the easy road. He, Son of God, lived the humble life of Carpenter and Prophet. When he fasted in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights the devil tempted him. (Matthew 8:10) (8) Again the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; (9) And he saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou will fall down and worship me. (10) Then saith Jesus unto him. Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Another way that he got "uncomfortable" for us was that he died on the cross for us. Jesus foretold he would be taken and sacrificed for our sins but he asked the lord to pass this cup at Gethsemane.
Matthew 26:39 - And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.
God sacrificed his only son - John 3:16. So will you get uncomfortable to serve God? This does not mean not to have common sense because if you have to pay the rent you'd better pay it. Living the life of a Christian is not easy. Some days you may not want to get up on Sunday for church or you my be tempted to drink alcohol or your friends may influence you negatively. Because Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice we as Christians being like Christ have our own sacrifices to make.
